Lab members of all three PLAMORF research groups, as well as members of the Scientific Advisory Board attended the PLAMORF Kick-off meeting in Berlin from 22nd to 24th July 2019. The first day was a great opportunity for all participants to get to know each other and get a common understanding of the research challenge they are facing. On the second day the focus was on in-depth discussions of encoding, transmitting and decoding of mobile RNAs and project planning, all supported by the Advisory Board. The importance of data sharing was stressed, for repeated cycles of experiments and computational modelling of RNA transport in the two model organisms Arabidopsis thaliana and Brassica napus.
