PLAMORF Concludes with Inspiring Workshop on RNA Transport in Plants! Plus, a Look Back at Our Journey!
The PLAMORF project recently celebrated its successful conclusion with a highly engaging “Workshop on RNA Transport in Plants,” held from May 25th to 28th, 2025, at the historic Harnack House in Berlin, Germany.
This final event brought together leading scientists and researchers to share the latest breakthroughs and foster discussions on the intricate world of plant mobile RNAs. The atmosphere was vibrant with collaborative energy, highlighting the significant strides made in understanding intercellular and tissue-wide communication in plants throughout the PLAMORF project.
The workshop served as a fantastic platform to showcase key achievements and publications that have emerged from our collective efforts. Topics ranged from the role of m5C methylation in guiding mRNA transport over graft junctions to insights from single-cell sequencing revealing tissue- and daytime-specific transcriptome profiles. Discussions also touched upon the practical applications of this research, especially its potential to benefit agriculture and other industries like biotechnology and bioengineering.
